Medronho & Canela is the first company on the market to dedicate itself to researching and developing products using medronho, the fruit.
Medronho & Canela was born as a result of the research and development work carried out by Rui Lopes, which led to the creation of this spin-off company from the Polytechnic of Leiria.
Since 2010, we have dedicated ourselves to researching and developing products and raw materials from medronho.
Areas of Expertise
Research
We are dedicated to researching the nutritional potential of the Medronho fruit and developing raw materials from it, with the aim of incorporating them into new food products.
Product
Based on the results of our research, we have developed innovative products with a high nutritional content, including natural antioxidants that incorporate the various raw materials extracted from the Medronho fruit.
Experiences
We put Rui Lopes' vast experience and knowledge as a researcher, lecturer, consultant and nutritionist at the service of various projects linked to gastronomy and healthy, sustainable food.
Consulting
Aimed at companies in the hotel and catering sector, municipalities and IPSS (Private Social Solidarity Institutions), this area of activity guarantees clients a service based on Rui Lopes' vast experience and qualifications.
